<br />
Patch 5.2’s gear changes represented Blizzard's first attempt to balance PvP gear with PvE gear, and offer better ways to narrow the gear gap. They have introduced the Elite tier of gear that would be available to all players after earning 27,000 Conquest Points throughout the season. This will balance Honor gear against Raid Finder gear, Conquest gear against normal mode raiding gear and Elite gear against Heroic mode raid gear. But, keeping pace with PvE gear also means that there is significant difference between this season’s Honor gear and the Elite gear. Not to mention that there is a tremendous difference between a fresh 90 and a veteran, Elite geared player. While it’s important to have that difference, the competitive nature of PvP means that highly geared players can serve as a deterrent to players who are looking into trying PvP for the first time. Trying to keep pace with the escalating ilevel of PvE gear has proven quite difficult for PvP.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgf4bhyphenhyphenYpJxx0kWbA38iFLgln_W-MxVGRNx6oWd85wDpsrW-eWl93CNqIWkrL_mUNy33HBy67vscEe-InAT-FK_IpR0MsWcFqRhKyQukW6ldP9XgNCt1PABNsi3gL7OHdtDqKwn0yVRG1M/s1600/panda-rage-art-610x339.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgf4bhyphenhyphenYpJxx0kWbA38iFLgln_W-MxVGRNx6oWd85wDpsrW-eWl93CNqIWkrL_mUNy33HBy67vscEe-InAT-FK_IpR0MsWcFqRhKyQukW6ldP9XgNCt1PABNsi3gL7OHdtDqKwn0yVRG1M/s1600/panda-rage-art-610x339.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Furthermore, as Season 13 has illustrated, having more than two levels of PvP gear can generate some significant issues during season transitions. Players expect that each season will start on a fairly level playing field. The presence of upgrades in 5.1 meant that some players now have a gear advantage over players with this season’s Honor gear. The presence of higher ilevel Elite gear has the potential to create an even bigger issue in Season 14.<br />
<br />
PvP gear in Mists of Pandaria has very significant difference from previous expansion. PvP Power has given us an extremely useful ‘knob’ to turn so PvP gear can be adjusted to make sure that it’s better than its PvE equivalent. Meanwhile Resilience, while well-intentioned, has actually made the gear gap worse over time. Specifically, referring to PvE players that spend a lot of time gearing up in PvE but feel that PvE gear is a severe liability in PvP.</div>

Here's a simple tip, queue for Random Battlegrounds. Yes, that's right, you can queue raid finder and random battlegrounds at the same time. As a DPS the average time to queue for LFR is usually 30 minutes. So why not have some fun in PVP and get some honors at the same time.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Patch 5.1 just hit live and Beast Mastery is still the choice for most hunters in arenas. With the <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=120697/lynx-rush">Lynx Rush</a> nerfed, looks like the best option now is <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=130392/blink-strike">Blink Strike</a>. In fact, even before patch 5.1, a lot of top rated hunters were using <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=130392/blink-strike">Blink Strike</a> and it's still a very viable choice. Let's start with talents and glyphs that are most effective for your gameplay if you're really serious into arenas. Take note that these talents are meant for comps with a healer such as Hunter/Warrior/Paladin (KFC), Hunter/Frost DK/Resto Druid, Hunter/Rogue/Healer (Bandit Cleave), Hunter/Druid/Healer (Jungle Cleave) and others.</div>
<br />

</tbody></table>
First of all, <a href="http://narrow%20escape/">Narrow Escape</a> will be a better choice for arena, with the web wrap root effect upon <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=781/disengage">Disengage</a> will make it harder for melee classes to reach you. Coupled with <a href="http://glyph%20of%20master%27s%20call/">Glyph of Master's Call</a>, I've tried it personally, no melee class can hardly ever get near me forcing them to switch to another target. <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell.../crouching-tiger-hidden-chimera">Crouching Tiger Hidden Chimera</a> won't be as good, as you can <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=19263/deterrence">Deterrence</a> twice when needed using <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=23989/readiness">Readiness</a>.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=34490/silencing-shot">Silencing shot</a> is a compulsory choice and will be used to interrupt and silence your target. Next up, since the removal of Aspect of the Fox, you will now be using <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=109260/aspect-of-the-iron-hawk">Aspect of the Iron Hawk</a> all the time and may cast <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=77767/cobra-shot">Cobra Shot</a>, <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=56641/steady-shot">Steady Shot</a> and <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=120360/barrage">Barrage</a> while moving. With 10% attack power bonus and 15% in damage reduction, coupled with <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=20895/glyph-of-animal-bond">Glyph of Animal Bond</a>, your survivability will be at its very best. I have tried a few arena games with these talent choices and even when the opponent's team used all their cooldown to burst you down, you can feel that you won't go down in a split second. This means, there's a time gap where you can decide whether to use <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=19263/deterrence">Deterrence</a> or just wait for your healer to top you up. Well, if he's in a crowd control without a trinket, just use <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=19263/deterrence">Deterrence</a>.<br />
<br />
Next up, we won't be using <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=120679/dire-beast">Dire Beast</a> for arenas as it will be a waste of Global Cooldown and the pet really doesn't do much damage. Instead, you should use <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=34720/thrill-of-the-hunt">Thrill of the Hunt</a> one of the best talent to keep pressure by constantly spamming <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=3044/arcane-shot">Arcane Shot</a> without having focus issues. I've tried it personally, what happened was, since I started opening on the opponent and after using all of my cooldown and keep <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=34026/kill-command">Kill Command</a> on cooldown as well, I can still keep spamming <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=3044/arcane-shot">Arcane Shot</a> and my focus is still above 80%. Only certain times my focus drops below 40%, which I will start using <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=77767/cobra-shot">Cobra Shot</a> to regain some focus back.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=130392/blink-strike">Blink Strike</a> is a very good choice and the best way to use it is as the following:<br />
<br />
1. Cast <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=19574/bestial-wrath">Beastial Wrath</a> and <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=19577/intimidation">Intimidation</a> (Macro these 2 spells together) with <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=3045/rapid-fire">Rapid Fire</a><br />
2. Cast <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=130392/blink-strike">Blink Strike</a> on your opponent<br />
3. Use <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=121818/stampede">Stampede</a> (with Shale Spider to continue locking your opponent)<br />
4. <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=34026/kill-command">Kill Command</a><br />
5. Spam <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=3044/arcane-shot">Arcane Shot</a><br />
6. <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=34490/silencing-shot">Silencing shot</a> on healer<br />
<br />
The above rotation will guarantee to create huge pressure to your opponent team and there's a very high chance that you can get a kill. In 2v2, I've tried the rotation on a Resto Druid that was in stealth, he had no HoTs on too. He just couldn't heal himself with the damage I was putting and went down pretty quick.<br />
<br />
Finally, <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=117050/glaive-toss">Glaive Toss</a> is still the best option for arenas, its low focus cost and snare effect is valuable in this case. I've tested <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=120360/barrage">Barrage</a> in patch 5.1, since Blizzard allow you to cast it while moving and tt just doesn't do much pressure in arena. It's good in Rated Battleground though, as you can shower everybody in front of you with a descent amount of damage for 3 seconds.<br />
<br />
For major Glyph, I've explained some of the reasons why to pick them above. We are going to use <a href="http://glyph%20of%20master%27s%20call/">Glyph of Master's Call</a> that will increase your immunity of movement impairing effect for a total of 8 seconds. You can cast this on yourself or your team mates which is a huge asset for your team. Make sure to make a macro for each. <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=20895/glyph-of-animal-bond">Glyph of Animal Bond</a> is chosen to provide higher survivability when used together with <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=109260/aspect-of-the-iron-hawk">Aspect of the Iron Hawk</a> that in summary will provide 15% damage reduction and 10% healing increase on your character. <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/item=42899/glyph-of-marked-for-death">Glyph of Marked of Death</a> will automatically put a <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=1130/hunters-mark">Hunter's Mark</a> on your target which pretty much needed. As for minor glyph, make sure you have <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/item=43338/glyph-of-revive-pet">Glyph of Revive Pet</a> to summon back your pet in case he gets killed twice in a match. That wraps up the arena guide for BM hunters in patch 5.1 and I will update you with more information, tips and tricks for hunters in World of Warcraft in the near future. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Patch 5.1 is believed to be live after server maintenance today, and hunters will be getting a few tweaks. <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=82661/aspect-of-the-fox">Aspect of the Fox</a> has now been removed which means hunters will be getting the passive 10% attack power from <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=13165/aspect-of-the-hawk">Aspect of the Hawk</a> and can cast <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=56641/steady-shot">Steady Shot</a>, <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=77767/cobra-shot">Cobra Shot</a> and <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=120360/barrage">Barrage</a>. This is indeed a buff for across all specializations. It will be interesting to see hunters swap in <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=120360/barrage">Barrage</a> to replace <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=117050/glaive-toss">Glaive Toss</a> for PVP since you can cast this while moving and showering your target with 640% weapon damage to the enemy target and an average of 320% weapon damage to each other enemy target in front of you for 3 seconds.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Another changed that we have seen it coming is <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=119407/glyph-of-icy-solace">Glyph of Solace</a> which has been renamed from Glyph of Icy Solace will now causes both <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=19503/scatter-shot">Scatter Shot</a> and <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=1499/freezing-trap">Freezing Trap</a> to remove all damage over time effects from targets. A good choice when you're switching targets a lot in arenas.</div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
A few buff for Marksmanship hunters, Careful Aim now increases the critical strike chance of Steady Shot and Aimed Shot by 75% on targets above 80% health, down from 90% and a glyph has been added called Glyph of Aimed Shot that allows Aimed Shot to be used while moving.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Finally, two nerfs hitting Beast Mastery hunters with <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=120697/lynx-rush">Lynx Rush</a> is now only a bleed that causes damage every 3 seconds over a period of 15 seconds and stacks up to 9 times. PVP players are now forced to pick up <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=130392/blink-strike">Blink Strike</a> which is better for single target and constant target switching since it has a short cooldown of 20 seconds. The other one is <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=19574/bestial-wrath">Beastial Wrath</a> no longer grants Hunter pets immunity to crowd control effects and will now break existing crowd control effects upon activation. Huge nerfs for BM, I would recommend to bind Beastial Wrath with <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=19577/intimidation">Intimidation</a> to avoid your target to fear or perform other crowd control on your pet within that 3 seconds stun period. An ideal rotation to burst would be to cast Beastial Wrath and Intimidation followed by Blink Strike and <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=121818/stampede">Stampede</a> with a Shale Spider pet stun to continue to lock your opponent down while bursting. Maybe by adding <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=120360/barrage">Barrage</a> after that might add a little bit more pressure on your opponent's team. Although, I think <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=120360/barrage">Barrage</a> might be better for Rated Battlegrounds for that massive AoE damage compared to arenas.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As a summary, patch 5.1 will give Marksmanship hunter a room to compete in PVP and if you're staying Beast Mastery, you have to change your play style a little bit without Lynx Rush by coordinating more switches with BW/Initimidation/Blink Strike/Stampede combo. </div>

Screenshot above tells you how you can start organizing your UI to improve your gameplay in PVP. To get started, below are the list of addons that you can download.<br /><br />1. <a href="http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/ice-hud">IceHud</a> - Show your health and focus bar in the middle of the screen<br />2. <a href="http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/dominos">Dominos</a> - Organize and keybind your abilities and actionbars<br />3. <a href="http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/recount">Recount</a> - Keep track of your damage<br />4. <a href="http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/battlegroundtargets">Battleground Targets</a> - Shows your enemy health and resources bars, buff and debuff and other important stuff like class specialization, etc<br />4. <a href="http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/gladius">Gladius</a> - Shows your enemy health and resources bars, buff and debuff and other important stuff like diminishing returns, trinkets, etc<br />5. <a href="http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/gladiatorlossa">GladiatorLOS</a> - Alerts you when any enemy use their cooldown or special abilities<br /><br /><i>* If you have any questions about the addons or how to use them, simply put on the comment below or message me on <a href="http://www.facebook.com/HighwardenHuntsman">Facebook</a> / <a href="http://twitter.com/savagesoul">Twitter</a>.</i><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Ensure that you place all the UI elements / addons near the center of the screen because your eye will always focus on the middle area and it will be easier for you to reach for everything within a split second.</div><br /><h4>Insignia / Trinket</h4>You can remove disarm effects with your Insignia.<br /><h4>Against Mage</h4>They can't use <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=45438/ice-block">Iceblock</a> if you silence them, however it does not work on Paladins, they still can bubble.<br /><h4>Against Shaman</h4>You can remove the grounding totem with growl (pet ability).<br />Here's an example macro:<br />#showtooltip scatter shot<br />/cast growl<br />/cast [target=focus,harm,exists] scatter shot; scatter shot<br /><h4>Against Deathknight</h4>Silence won't let them use howling blast, sacrificing there ghoul or cast Icebound Fortitude.<br /><h4>Against Rogue</h4>If they vanish near you, just place a flare right under yourself and do feign death followed by Camouflage.<br /><h4>Tranquilizing Shot</h4>Tranquilizing Shot is our Purge and it's instant cast and doesn't require much focus. You can dispell almost everything with it. Dispell Buffs like BoK, BoM, Fort or special abilities like:<br /><br />1. <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=1022/hand-of-protection">Hand of protection</a><br />2. <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=1044/hand-of-freedom">Hand of Freedom</a><br />3. <a href="http://ww.wowhead.com/spell=90361/spirit-mend">Spiritmend</a> (BM Spiritpetsheal)<br />4. <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=79206/spiritwalkers-grace">Spiritwalker's Grace</a> (Shaman)<br />5. <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=2825/bloodlust">Bloodlust </a>/ <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=32182/heroism">Heroism</a> (Shaman/Mage/Hunter)<br />6. <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=18499/berserker-rage">Berserker Rage</a> (Warrior)<br />7. <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=49016/unholy-frenzy">Unholy Frenzy</a> (Death Knights)<br /><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsKHLalAfHP7N6Q-zg2MOOjYlnzAWxzDSMp7FJT4AAr2zgCTcSQ19VmbwbfhzcMpukUPNCOA13WJY2fYOrsNSfU5tonrYaiB-NWs_G7CgZvHpU23MAWspMGC0PKkcRc8YpXmDLckWg-jI/s1600/tranquilizingshot.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="361" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsKHLalAfHP7N6Q-zg2MOOjYlnzAWxzDSMp7FJT4AAr2zgCTcSQ19VmbwbfhzcMpukUPNCOA13WJY2fYOrsNSfU5tonrYaiB-NWs_G7CgZvHpU23MAWspMGC0PKkcRc8YpXmDLckWg-jI/s400/tranquilizingshot.jpg" width="400" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="font-size: 13px;"><i style="background-color: #fafafa; color: #333333; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: medium;">By removing opponent buffs it will create pressure depending on the situation in PVP</i></td></tr></tbody></table><br /><h4><span style="font-weight: normal;">A tip on how do you look at enemy buff is that you will see them as glowing. He is believed to be on an 8-12 respawn timer, so hunting Sambas pose quite a challenge for any hunters out there.<br /><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbLPMdhyenX672RGnjQIgfRIeVJdyrp7w8A3vGXgwfX4USfK1Uol0i2oDrZYzcpMl9QN0Wd2tqZ8qLlum1As896r6OPTKP_IWCd15J-e0W2dWLinTDtJXJkHypUY7HrpjBWPEk3HQ3Q0U/s1600/214199.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="464" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbLPMdhyenX672RGnjQIgfRIeVJdyrp7w8A3vGXgwfX4USfK1Uol0i2oDrZYzcpMl9QN0Wd2tqZ8qLlum1As896r6OPTKP_IWCd15J-e0W2dWLinTDtJXJkHypUY7HrpjBWPEk3HQ3Q0U/s640/214199.jpg" width="640" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><i style="background-color: #fafafa; color: #333333; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: medium;">Sambas the rare lion in Twilight Highlands</i></td></tr></tbody></table><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div>I cleared my cache last night and waited for Sambas for a few hours and there was no sign of this beast anywhere. The main question is what is the best pets to use to maximize your damage, buffs and debuffs in PVP and PVE situations. This post will guide you on the best pets to use in your stampede arsenal, watch the screenshot below.<br /><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPmN000Dckre-vfLa3DgH_rwGAkUK_m2iOhxqiKfPmB18E6Hp_becqskzuGcmt4zjFQ3CtQbv_w9LP0VttWG_JHqBN_kSabJHnuz7mUa4JEF9_KSvXmzocq7rXuk65z9dno9H8hfhMZ7c/s1600/sss.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="367" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPmN000Dckre-vfLa3DgH_rwGAkUK_m2iOhxqiKfPmB18E6Hp_becqskzuGcmt4zjFQ3CtQbv_w9LP0VttWG_JHqBN_kSabJHnuz7mUa4JEF9_KSvXmzocq7rXuk65z9dno9H8hfhMZ7c/s640/sss.jpg" width="640" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><i style="background-color: #fafafa; color: #333333; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: medium;">Best pets for Stampede to maximize your damage, buffs and debuff for hunters (Click to view larger)</i></td></tr></tbody></table>You will need a list of pets as below, if you don't have them yet, you can view my previous posts about <a href="http://highwardenhuntsman.blogspot.com/search/label/rare%20pets">hunting and taming hunter pets</a>.<br /><br />1. Spirit Beast<br />2. Shale Spider<br />3. Serpent / Hyena<br />4. Corehound<br />5. Quilen<br /><br />Firstly, you can summon one of the pets as your main one in PVE / PVP situation depending on what buff and debuff is needed in your group. Make sure the buff and debuff do not stack, you can refer to <a href="http://www.google.com.my/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CCEQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.wowhead.com%2Fguide%3D1100%2Fmists-of-pandaria-buffs-and-debuffs&ei=cHmLUKTMOMaIrAfqz4HIBA&usg=AFQjCNEuqEPNxTBLKIDt4c9uVeBFl6VCHw&sig2=zE22729imPA7ZJpELbB4vw">this post on Wowhead.com</a> to have a better understanding. As for arena, if you don't have a Druid (Mark of the Wild buff), it is recommended to use Shale Spider for Web Wrap that stuns target for 3 seconds every 31.5 seconds. Moving along, by using Stampede, all of your five active pets buff and debuff benefits will be available all at once. Sounds great? Yes, right this is true.<br /><br />If you refer to my screenshot above, my buff lists are <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=90363/embrace-of-the-shale-spider">Embrace of the Shale Spider</a>, <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=126373/fearless-roar">Fearless Roar</a>, <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=128997/spirit-beast-blessing">Spirit Beast Blessing</a> and <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=128433/serpents-swiftness">Serpent Swiftness</a>. That means during Stampede, you and your group will be much stronger with all the buff that increases your main stats by 5%, increase critical chance by 5%, increase mastery by 3000 and 10% melee and range haste. So it's best that your team mates or raid members to use all major cooldown at this point. In raiding perspective, it might better to stack stampede with Bloodlust or Heroism.<br /><br />As for my debuff lists, my target is currently having <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=58604/lava-breath">Lava Breath</a> and <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=28622/web-wrap">Web Wrap</a>. During stampede, your target will be stunned for 3 seconds in a Web Wrap and also gets a reduced casting speed. Although, you can argue that a raptor that provides <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=50498">Tear Amor</a> is better depending on your group setup, I would say for PVP the slow casting debuff from Lava Breath is better if you are burning a healer down.<br /><br />As a conclusion, I think choosing the right pets that doesn't stack the same buffs and debuffs is vital in your gameplay performance in PVP and PVE. Even though, before the Spirit Mend nerfed, some hunters are running with five spirit beasts for the massive healing during stampede, as for now, using various pet families will still benefit your hunter the most.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12491575509254990647noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8523166498722937774.post-70028342620124104262012-10-26T21:38:00.000-07:002019-01-02T23:12:55.887-08:00Best Hunting Spot for King Krush<a href="http://www.wowhead.com/npc=32485/king-krush">King Krush</a> is a rare green coloured Devilsaur that roams at the three main locations in Sholazar Basin as shown in the map below. The small area in the middle of The Glimmering Pillar is probably the best spot if you're planning to camp for him to spawn. Look for a big rhino called <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/npc=28288/farunn">Faruun</a> and you should just wait nearby the area in stealth. He's part of the <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=2257/frostbitten">Frostbitten</a> achievement, so flying around patrolling the entire map is not really advisable as someone might have spotted him and hunted him down already. Clear your NPC Scan cache and you can follow the <a href="http://highwardenhuntsman.blogspot.com/2012/10/taming-all-9-spirit-beasts-and-lessons.html">guide here</a> to prevent auto logout while camping.<br /><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrtfB-reburMHGAvutJKVVXb3ExwBPlc1isPpA3756IJeWT4s3O9plx1ywKKN7haHw3qSDRd9CYNVIr6ZrIiEW3cyxsQiU3_kNRZX_XgHjLa1rCOy7A_2rlG_r87HqgLI_VZP3i8_0HE4/s1600/WoWScrnShot_102612_233205.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrtfB-reburMHGAvutJKVVXb3ExwBPlc1isPpA3756IJeWT4s3O9plx1ywKKN7haHw3qSDRd9CYNVIr6ZrIiEW3cyxsQiU3_kNRZX_XgHjLa1rCOy7A_2rlG_r87HqgLI_VZP3i8_0HE4/s640/WoWScrnShot_102612_233205.jpg" width="640" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><i style="background-color: #fafafa; color: #333333; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: medium;">King Krush appears in the middle of the map where Faruun starts patrolling</i></td></tr></tbody></table><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">King Krush is a on a 6-8 hours respawn timer and does not share respawn times with other rares in the area which are Loque'nahak and Aotana. Devilsaurs provide 5% increase critical chance and Monstrous Bite that reduces healing by 25% and having a rare one in your beast arsenal is just great. I personally like hunting at <a href="http://www.google.com.my/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CCEQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.wowhead.com%2Fzone%3D3711%2Fsholazar-basin&ei=pmSLUKy3GYrJrQfny4GQCQ&usg=AFQjCNG9VHJr_rEj4SZG0s2L7NqLNw2ZlQ&sig2=Fhqi5sAOnM3qpaMMuBDE0Q">Sholazar Basin</a> because of the jungle environment and ambient sound making you feel more into hunting creatures. They have four different colours red, purple, green and dark to collect from, but I do not have enough stable slots to collect them all, at least for now. The respawn timer for this creature is very short which is 2 hours and only one random colour will appear once at a time. Whether you're collecting resources such as mining and herbalism, doing daily quests or hunting for rare pets, sometimes you might need to keep track of what's going on in Trade Chat. If you always pug raids, you will need to see if anyone is forming a group and if you're a PVPer, you might want to see if there's any RBG or Arena group forming and etceteras.<br /><br />There's an addon out there called TradeForwarder, but you will still need to rely on one of your friends to use the addon and sit in Trade Chat doing nothing. It's a good idea, but this is fine unless your buddy do not mind to stay in town all day. Another way, is to get a second account and use this addon.<br /><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTO9s4LkT-gEmOPbNP6LElid5vSUVwsoTw0rNPBCiSLEPp1XL8JOedf7IXuNBYV0744xaEOgPjubO2gV4BszildPBym0iTxB_ISvGGW4C_Z7Mv2qvZwo8OWDhN1_wqTCi48x8OuNLAfcU/s1600/chatwow.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="216" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTO9s4LkT-gEmOPbNP6LElid5vSUVwsoTw0rNPBCiSLEPp1XL8JOedf7IXuNBYV0744xaEOgPjubO2gV4BszildPBym0iTxB_ISvGGW4C_Z7Mv2qvZwo8OWDhN1_wqTCi48x8OuNLAfcU/s640/chatwow.jpg" width="640" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><i style="background-color: #fafafa; color: #333333; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: medium;">Using dual monitor to keep track of Trade Chat and Battlemasters.org</i></td></tr></tbody></table><br />In this post, I'm going to show you how I monitor trade chat as well as Battlemasters.org website (A website to LFG / LFM for RBGs) while I'm out hunting for rares. First of all, you will need a dual monitor (If you can afford and already have 3 monitors it will be much better but you need more space). As you can see from the screenshot above, my main account is on the left and my monitor on the right is showing my second World of Warcraft account with a web browser displaying <a href="http://battlemasters.org/?page_id=1151">Battlemasters.org</a> Chat. This way, I can keep track on what group is forming, what great items are selling and etceteras. You can also whisper the person advertising directly using your main account and carry on from there.<br /><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvQ2D3h2vO_UEfJpQacaOGAnXhYow_bYNDDwh3ZPKO5vFMKsNUu2HVCM4hS0UW87v7QY1QIo5vboYyp32yv1EyVjIic2ondM4Li7ca8ZtpRs8tjtPoQC_OkaZoGFDUFr8CR_kypXHApqU/s1600/zoom.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvQ2D3h2vO_UEfJpQacaOGAnXhYow_bYNDDwh3ZPKO5vFMKsNUu2HVCM4hS0UW87v7QY1QIo5vboYyp32yv1EyVjIic2ondM4Li7ca8ZtpRs8tjtPoQC_OkaZoGFDUFr8CR_kypXHApqU/s640/zoom.jpg" width="640" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><i style="background-color: #fafafa; color: #333333; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: medium;">Using Windows Magnifier tool to zoom in trade chat</i></td></tr></tbody></table>Also, just to share with you how I usually keep track of what's going on in trade chat, I use Windows Magnifier which can easily be accessible via <i>Windows Icon > All Programs > Accessories > Ease of Access > Magnifier</i> if you're using Windows 7. My bed is just across my computer table, so the trade chat is always visible when I'm watching TV or reading on my bed.<br /><br /><br />Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12491575509254990647noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8523166498722937774.post-81830134684357099862012-10-25T00:46:00.000-07:002019-01-02T23:12:56.762-08:00Ghostcrawler response to PVP Honor Weapons <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">A lot of PVP players are not happy with Blizzard not making PVP honor weapons available as a reward. This will make it hard for entry level players (from PVP or even PVE background) to start engaging and performing well in Arenas and Rated Battleground. Especially, if you're not lucky enough to get rare quality weapons for Heroic Dungeons or you just don't feel like doing them at all. I've been following Greg Street (You can follow him <a href="https://twitter.com/Ghostcrawler" target="_blank">@Ghostcrawler</a>) the Lead Game Designer of World of Warcraft lately and able to scoop some info from the developers themselves. I think the main reason that these weapons are not available is because Blizzard is too afraid that PVE players would take advantage and use them to clear PVE contents which has happened a lot in previous patches and even expansions. With the upcoming patch that will introduce more Open World PVP content in World of Warcraft, players will definitely need a basic weapon in order to participate when they hit level 90.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhq0pLqMFUfQXCPCLdfUPSFOHsHcj_umeLSXBZtrjpLqakfFRhuK5mA_2pXlt3d0vSQF6Ol_TOYMZIHU4GZprkjghqGeEmuNCVZkt6tO64Rr1hZyL5H2sXy9bHyvOESkcQKH3Y0ra3pyKQ/s1600/Twitter++Ghostcrawler+@savagesoul+We+don't+typically+...+-+Google+Chrome.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="492" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhq0pLqMFUfQXCPCLdfUPSFOHsHcj_umeLSXBZtrjpLqakfFRhuK5mA_2pXlt3d0vSQF6Ol_TOYMZIHU4GZprkjghqGeEmuNCVZkt6tO64Rr1hZyL5H2sXy9bHyvOESkcQKH3Y0ra3pyKQ/s640/Twitter++Ghostcrawler+@savagesoul+We+don't+typically+...+-+Google+Chrome.jpg" width="640" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><i style="font-size: medium;">Greg Street aka @Ghostcrawler responses to PVP Honor Weapons</i></td></tr></tbody></table>I have suggested to Ghostcrawler in tihs <a href="https://twitter.com/Ghostcrawler/status/261362587936124928" target="_blank">Twitter Conversation</a> that maybe if Blizzard would make PVP Power and PVP Resilience the only stats available on these weapons, PVE players might just stay away and take advantage them. If you're looking for him, just fly along the coastal line (I've marked it on the map below) and start looking for his foot tracks. Similar to <a href="http://highwardenhuntsman.blogspot.com/2012/10/new-rare-beast-in-mist-of-pandaria.html" target="_blank">other hunting challenges in Mist of Pandaria</a>, the tracks are currently bugged as it is shown backwards and you have to trace him in the opposite direction of the tracks.<br /><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhen2-EV4aeT4ZO21Ylv8vy21axrsiCkRPBi4r2OwHlxYnAyK0whtTGHHDc3WjRYyjEqCW4HpSAB0HqGS1riuPDr1Hb4drQph_B9n5ceVj_igHujVAQrkLx1dAqzoA-DGcOISfGz4_VpQw/s1600/WoWScrnShot_102112_021630.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhen2-EV4aeT4ZO21Ylv8vy21axrsiCkRPBi4r2OwHlxYnAyK0whtTGHHDc3WjRYyjEqCW4HpSAB0HqGS1riuPDr1Hb4drQph_B9n5ceVj_igHujVAQrkLx1dAqzoA-DGcOISfGz4_VpQw/s640/WoWScrnShot_102112_021630.jpg" width="640" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><i style="font-size: medium;">Bloodtooth the Dragon Turtle color resembles a Fel Orc</i></td></tr></tbody></table><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Found a few of his foot tracks but it doesn't appear to be a fresh one, so I kept following them until I've reach to an Island somewhat in the middle of the map. It's quite easy, if judgement tells you that there are no more fresh tracks ahead of his walking route, just pop the Flare. That's what I did and there he was, walking very slowly. I've put up Hunter's Mark on him, so I won't lose sight of him and started taming him.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQ4mDTAcIRMeRKp-CGgwq330gCMRaB4Sy6TM7KLwuPUZLbXqZ9ixhHVsqnx7cOw3MF5nWye2wU-E_OjJmALIia701gJtZvu9cJTo_hd2jE3jyExpIoswNQUC5_OQ15Cc9qKxztaVvB44c/s1600/bt.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQ4mDTAcIRMeRKp-CGgwq330gCMRaB4Sy6TM7KLwuPUZLbXqZ9ixhHVsqnx7cOw3MF5nWye2wU-E_OjJmALIia701gJtZvu9cJTo_hd2jE3jyExpIoswNQUC5_OQ15Cc9qKxztaVvB44c/s640/bt.jpg" width="640" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><i style="font-size: medium;">Map showing Bloodtooth routing path</i></td></tr></tbody></table><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I've made a comparison from <a href="http://www.wow-petopia.com/family/turtle.html" target="_blank">WoW Petopia Turtles</a>, personally, I like the colors on this rare turtle, the red skin and dark armor, it does look like a <a href="http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20071001010960/wowwiki/images/7/72/Felorc2.jpg" target="_blank">Fel Orc</a>. text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Beast Mastery is leading the DPS for hunters in current Mist of Pandaria patch 5.0. Last night, I went into Mogu'shan Vaults (MSV) 10 man normal mode with another Survival Hunter, and as a BM hunter, I put up a much higher DPS, even though, I had missed a few of my rotations during some of the boss-kill attempts. The survival hunter was doing a solid 60k dps and I was above him in terms of damage done by 2% more even though recount stated I was pulling 48k dps (Refer the recount screenshot at the bottom of this post). In this post, I will explain about PVE Beast Mastery talents, rotations, pets, glyphs, stats, enchants and gems that will improve your gameplay as a hunter in raids.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhO_-XUbDBwxQ8AOOaPed5QCFDX1Uq-S1nrF6pGylBl9PUpzjyWMk_CnBS3cdjHecVh2N3NmXHAkHeoh0eMTK6DbSROfAhPuj0ABQUDwpCblIyN6tWQ4z48iKCaAUK_I35Sk2UnN1fgWf4/s1600/WoWScrnShot_102112_210038.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhO_-XUbDBwxQ8AOOaPed5QCFDX1Uq-S1nrF6pGylBl9PUpzjyWMk_CnBS3cdjHecVh2N3NmXHAkHeoh0eMTK6DbSROfAhPuj0ABQUDwpCblIyN6tWQ4z48iKCaAUK_I35Sk2UnN1fgWf4/s640/WoWScrnShot_102112_210038.jpg" width="640" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><i style="font-size: medium;">Raiding Gara'jal the Spirit Binder in MSV 10-man normal mode</i></td></tr></tbody></table><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div><div><h3>A. Talents</h3></div><div>As you can see below, I'm specialized into Beast Mastery talent (<a href="http://us.battle.net/wow/en/tool/talent-calculator#Ya!001120!gbdMkm">http://us.battle.net/wow/en/tool/talent-calculator#Ya!001120!gbdMkm</a>) and I'll explain in detail about my choices of talents that will maximize your capability in PVE situation.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjub4F94pb_P84qQygKE5cX7hf7nJS-5XVtBNZSjm3Kj25dLT0A4P0n23Cr4YJX2qC0xNTqUo7_0tPdPuFKr2u7UFY7uVLmrxcWE8mMuaO86Ri5_JZIJcINUkfiAoqJsNtO_YRzJv4z3DQ/s1600/Talent+Calculator+++Game+Guide+++World+of+Warcraft.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="588" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjub4F94pb_P84qQygKE5cX7hf7nJS-5XVtBNZSjm3Kj25dLT0A4P0n23Cr4YJX2qC0xNTqUo7_0tPdPuFKr2u7UFY7uVLmrxcWE8mMuaO86Ri5_JZIJcINUkfiAoqJsNtO_YRzJv4z3DQ/s640/Talent+Calculator+++Game+Guide+++World+of+Warcraft.png" width="640" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><i style="font-size: medium;">Beast Mastery talents and glyphs for PVE raiding</i></td></tr></tbody></table><br /><a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=109215" target="_blank">Posthaste</a> is a great PVE talent which let you free from any movement impairing effects during Disengage plus the increase 60% movement speed bonus for 8 seconds. If you need to get to a spot immediately, you can just face your back towards your destination, jump and then hit Disengage for maximum leap range and dash towards it. Silencing Shot is needed in certain PVE encounters where you need to interrupt a cast or channeling spells.<br /><br />Next up, this is a compulsory talent for PVE which is <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=109260" target="_blank">Aspect of the Iron Hawk</a>, your attack power will be increased by 10% and also any damage on you will be reduced by 15%. Next, choose Dire Beast talent for the extra burst and focus regeneration. <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=120697" target="_blank">Lynx Rush</a> is great for BM hunters especially during <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=19574/bestial-wrath" target="_blank">Beastial Wrath</a> for the additional pet damage on the target. Finally, pick up <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=121414" target="_blank">Glaive Toss</a> it's instant cast and can provide good burst single target as well as multiple targets.<br /><h3>B. Rotations</h3>As for BM Hunter 5.0 PVE rotation, start off with a <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=1978/serpent-sting" target="_blank">Serpent Sting</a> (make sure it is being macro with /petattack). Next, if your pet has not reach the target, cast <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=121414" target="_blank">Glaive Toss</a> and spam <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=3044" target="_blank">Arcane Shot</a> until your pet is nearby your opponent. When your pet is within range, cast <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=19574/bestial-wrath" target="_blank">Beastial Wrath</a>, followed by <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=34026" target="_blank">Kill Command</a> then <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=120697" target="_blank">Lynx Rush</a>. While your pet is doing Lynx Rush, pop <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=120679" target="_blank">Dire Beast</a> followed by <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=121818" target="_blank">Stampede</a> and <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=3045" target="_blank">Rapid Fire</a> (Do not use Rapid Fire during Bloodlust / Heroism as they don't stack), then keep spamming Arcane Shot until Kill Command is up again. Keep an eye on Serpent Sting debuff, when it is about to expire, refresh it with <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=77767" target="_blank">Cobra Shot</a>. Use <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=82692" target="_blank">Focus Fire</a> when it's at 5 stacks as it will increase your haste greatly. If the target is below 20% cast <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=53351/kill-shot" target="_blank">Kill Shot</a> twice and repeat the rotation. Finally, use <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=23989" target="_blank">Readiness</a> to bring back all you cooldown again (exception to only Stampede) and repeat all the rotation above to burst for the second time.<br /><br /><div><h3>C. Glyphs</h3></div><div>Lets move on to glyphs, I've chosen <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/item=42909" target="_blank">Glyph of Animal Bond</a> and <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=56850" target="_blank">Glyph of Deterrence</a> for extra survivability.<br /><a href="http://www.wowhead.com/item=42899" target="_blank">Glyph of Marked for Death</a> is a must as you wont have to include <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=1130" target="_blank">Hunter's Mark</a> into your rotation.<br /><br />As for the minor glyphs, <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/item=45732" target="_blank">Glyph of Aspect of the Cheetah</a> will remove the Daze effect when damaged which is good for kiting / moving away from bad stuff. <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/item=43355/glyph-of-aspect-of-the-pack" target="_blank">Glyph of Aspect of the Pact </a>will increase the radius of the aspect which is good to cover the entire raid when moving. Finally, pick up <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/item=43338" target="_blank">Glyph of Revive Pet</a> in any case your pet gets killed.</div><div><h3>D. Pets</h3></div><div>Next is about choosing what pet to use for raiding. Basically, you need to look up at the new <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/guide=1100/mists-of-pandaria-buffs-and-debuffs" target="_blank">buff and debuff in Mist of Pandaria</a> and ensure all or at least most of the buff is available for the raid team. In short, you will have to prioritize the list below:<br /><br /><br /><ol><li>Firstly, Check if the raid does not have Shaman or Mage, use your Corehound for Bloodlust / Heroism. This will benefit the whole raid DPS and is vital for any raid setup.</li><li>Then, check if the raid does not have a Feral Druid or Mage, use your Quilen (preferably because of the Battle Resurrection) or Devilsaur (For the reduce healing on target debuff) for the 5% crit buff. If you don't have a mage, lock or elemental shaman just use Water Strider as it will provide 5% crit as well as the 10% spell power buff.</li><li>Then, check if the raid does not have Paladin for Blessing of Might or Shaman for Grace of Air Totem, use your Spirit Beast (preferably for the extra healing ability) or a Cat for the Mastery buff.</li><li>If your raid does have all of the above (1-3) buff, check if your raid does not have a Shadow Priest, Boomkin or an Elemental Shaman, use a Spore Bat.</li><li>If your raid has everything above, identify whether your group is caster dps heavy or melee / physical dps heavy. For caster heavy raid setup without a warlock (Curse of Elements) or Rogue with Master Poisoner you might want to use a Dragonhawk or Windserpent for the 5% increase in magical damage. Usually for a melee heavy group, they will have all the 4% increase physical damage. In exception, if your group only has Rogue melee, use a Raptor, Gore, Ravager or Worm to cater this debuff. If you raid only has Retribution Paladin and Warrior, it's better to use the Hyena or Serpent to help them with 10% melee / range haste.</li></ol></div><br /><br /><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTIdYTMe5bmmP8xTt2ZzthPZXMJl8ShBn3Whyphenhyphend1_-6hQixYnKSbbT0gNyfYeNmTfPCoBYRtGZMaRTThHvgLbbVG-6TopR5nUIDZAhWlopUtVZiHxf8i4cU3ja-pP_6Dy0rJoGNyVmRT5s/s1600/WoWScrnShot_102112_202604.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTIdYTMe5bmmP8xTt2ZzthPZXMJl8ShBn3Whyphenhyphend1_-6hQixYnKSbbT0gNyfYeNmTfPCoBYRtGZMaRTThHvgLbbVG-6TopR5nUIDZAhWlopUtVZiHxf8i4cU3ja-pP_6Dy0rJoGNyVmRT5s/s640/WoWScrnShot_102112_202604.jpg" width="640" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: small;"><i>BM and Survival DPS in one of the boss attempt</i></span></td></tr></tbody></table><br /><h3>E. Stats Priorities & Reforging</h3>Agility > Expertise (7.5%) = Ranged Hit (7.5%) > Crit > Haste > Mastery<br /><br />Your main stats is going to be Agility as it will increases all damage dealt and slightly increases critical chance. If you are below 7.5% Ranged Hit or 7.5% Expertise, you should reforge your weakest stats (see priority above) into Hit Rating or Expertise. Do this until you are at the caps for both stats. In Mist of Pandaria, hunters will need expertise as it will eliminate your attacks from being dodged.<br /><br />Different from PVP which prioritize Mastery stats, on any gear without Crit, you might need to reforge the weakest stat (see priority) into Crit as available. If Crit is unavailable, reforge for Haste. Critical increases the chance for your attacks to critically hit for 200% damage. Also increases pet Focus generation thanks to <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=34954" target="_blank">Go for the Throat</a>. More focus generation will result in more consistent damage.<br /><br />Haste stats will increase the cast time of you Cobra Shot, causes you to shoot faster and increases your focus regenration. As for Mastery, it will increase your pet damage.<br /><h3>F. Gems & Enchants</h3>Meta - [<a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=107753/agile-primal-diamond" target="_blank">Agile Primal Diamond</a>]<br /><br />Blue - [<a href="http://www.wowhead.com/item=76680" target="_blank">Glinting Imperial Amethyst</a>] [<a href="http://www.wowhead.com/item=76636" target="_blank">Rigid River's Heart</a>]<br />Red - [<a href="http://www.wowhead.com/item=76692" target="_blank">Delicate Primordial Ruby</a>] [<a href="http://www.wowhead.com/item=76693" target="_blank">Precise Primordial Ruby</a>]<br />Yellow - [<a href="http://www.wowhead.com/item=76658" target="_blank">Deadly Vermilion Onyx</a>]<br /><br />Shoulders - [<a href="http://greater%20tiger%20claw%20inscription/" target="_blank">Greater Tiger Claw Inscription</a>]<br />Cloak - [<a href="http://www.wowhead.com/search?q=Enchant+Cloak+-+Accuracy" target="_blank">Enchant Cloak - Accuracy</a>] [<a href="http://www.wowhead.com/item=74713" target="_blank">Enchant Cloak - Superior Critical Strike</a>]<br />Chest - [<a href="http://www.wowhead.com/item=74708" target="_blank">Enchant Chest - Glorious Stats</a>]<br />Bracers - [<a href="http://www.wowhead.com/item=74705" target="_blank">Enchant Bracer - Greater Agility</a>]<br />Gloves - [<a href="http://www.wowhead.com/item=74720" target="_blank">Enchant Gloves - Superior Expertise</a>] [<a href="http://www.wowhead.com/item=74722" target="_blank">Enchant Gloves - Superior Mastery</a>]<br />Belt - [<a href="http://www.wowhead.com/item=90046" target="_blank">Living Steel Belt Buckle</a>]<br />Legs - [<a href="http://www.wowhead.com/item=83764" target="_blank">Shadowleather Leg Armor</a>]<br />Boots - [<a href="http://www.wowhead.com/item=74717" target="_blank">Enchant Boots - Blurred Speed</a>]<br />Weapon - [<a href="http://www.wowhead.com/item=77529" target="_blank">Lord Blastington's Scope of Doom</a>]<br /><br />Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12491575509254990647noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8523166498722937774.post-66887834928349277222012-10-19T20:43:00.000-07:002019-01-02T23:12:57.933-08:00Rated Battleground and your Role as a HunterI've been doing rated battlegrounds lately with a wonderful and positive bunch of people from Lethon server. Today, I'm going to write about my experience doing Rated Battlegrounds and share with you hunters on what our roles are expected to be in various RBGS.<br /><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5tHyFhp_lutxR43IruYyU6IdpvdnHDp3-I__91p40HeMQEJZc_rEsOaXd6zlYCOod88f6tH3WrthpusorBh3ZlLG2H85G-NxCrRh2UW6w4kl-mlCM97AEfqW_Ku5HvueN4HA1blgXRQE/s1600/WoWScrnShot_102012_022931.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5tHyFhp_lutxR43IruYyU6IdpvdnHDp3-I__91p40HeMQEJZc_rEsOaXd6zlYCOod88f6tH3WrthpusorBh3ZlLG2H85G-NxCrRh2UW6w4kl-mlCM97AEfqW_Ku5HvueN4HA1blgXRQE/s640/WoWScrnShot_102012_022931.jpg" width="640" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><i style="font-size: medium;">Having a 10man premade group, working and communicating together in Rated Battlegrounds is a real blast</i></td></tr></tbody></table><h3>Add-ons</h3><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">First of all, you will require to download an add-on called <a href="http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/battlegroundtargets" target="_blank">BattlegroundTargets</a>. This add-on will allow you to view and target any 10 of your opponent on the other side. Usually, there will be one or two target caller in your team that will be calling out who should you focus and kill.</div><h3>Looking for Group Website</h3><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Not enough pvpers in your realm? You can try out <a href="http://battlemasters.org/">Battlemasters.org</a> which is a site that let you find or form RBG groups with people from accross realms. With the Battle Tag and Real ID, this will make forming group much easier. Please ensure that you have enough gear before joining any RBG group and usually the requirements are at least full PVP Dreadful Gear.</div><h3>Eye of the Storm</h3><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">In the Eye of the Storm, you will be usually assigned to guard either Fel Reaver Ruins (FR) or Blood Elf Tower (BET) at the start. With the new <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=119449/glyph-of-camouflage" target="_blank">Glyph of Camouflage</a> that allows stealth, your job will be much easier. Any incomings should be alerted to your team mates beforehand to ensure that they can back you up. With double <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=19263/deterrence" target="_blank">Deterrence</a> using <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=23989/readiness" target="_blank">Readiness,</a> you will be to able last long enough before your team mates arrive.</div><h3>Temple of Kotmogu</h3><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Hunters will usually be assigned to guard the top area of the map while range DPS that can teleport back up such as warlock <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=48020/demonic-circle-teleport" target="_blank">Demonic Portal </a>or druid using <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=110309/symbiosis" target="_blank">Symbiosis</a> will be assigned in the pit. Your role is basically to grab the orb as fast as possible whenever your team mates holding the orb on your side dies. Now, it's your turn to get into the pit and Line of Sight behind on of the walls inside the pit. Remember to always target anyone holding the orb and crowd control the ones without it. If every DPS in your team is coordinated very well, the target will die almost instantly as they have an increased damage debuff.</div><h3>Silvershard Mine</h3><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">On this map, you will be joining the rest of your team and zerg a mine cart which has been assigned. Whichever mine cart that has the most opponent team, that's your primary target to go for. You can form 3 Ops team usually 2 dps and 1 healer to hold another mine cart with lesser number of opponent. Be sure to stand in the circle while doing damage and make use of <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=5384/feign-death" target="_blank">Feign Death</a> and <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=19263/deterrence" target="_blank">Deterrence</a> to avoid getting globaled. Other than that, just follow the assignment made by the leader and blow all your cooldowns. Be sure to use <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=1499/freezing-trap" target="_blank">Freezing Trap</a> and <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=34490/silencing-shot" target="_blank">Silencing Shot</a> to crowd control their healers.</div><h3>Arathi Basin</h3><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Similar to Eye of the Storm, you will most probably be assigned to guard farm or stables at the beginning. Just call out any incomings and utilize your pet to interrupt the flag capper if you're getting crowd control. Other than that try to use Explosive Traps to knock people off the left from Lumber Mills.</div><h3>Warsong Gulch</h3><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">You will be following your group doing tons of damage and crowd control the opponent. Focus Freezing Trap and Focus Silencing Shot are vital as you need to be consistently targeting the main target your target caller is calling.</div><h3>Twin Peaks</h3><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Slightly a bigger map than WSG, your role is going to be pretty much similar. This completes <a href="http://highwardenhuntsman.blogspot.com/2012/10/taming-all-9-spirit-beasts-and-lessons.html" target="_blank">all 9 sets of Spirit Beast collection</a> in my Bestiary. Since my <a href="http://highwardenhuntsman.blogspot.com/2012/10/ankha-twin-spirit-beast-found.html" target="_blank">previous Ankha tame</a>, I witnessed around four Ankha spawned but not her. I've decided to name her Iysha after my beloved grandmother that passed away last June. May peace be with her and she'll always be in my heart. Magria has very similar traits to Ankha, the <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=101630" target="_blank">Metal Cleaver</a> ability which deals additional damage to armored targets, so you might want to unequip all your gear before taming her.<br /><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0WSN2eoSc4sNrSLn0AkanbJlb0wuv8ehEBOCmPiX6wUwarngbGrtq777XAwHjpjn1bubDT_a2Vp005qUwzPHoC_uvaBXI4ph8D1H2UIvJYnCCIWJ1zHaJdTjX83rQUYqwK9D3cNyVrFQ/s1600/WoWScrnShot_102012_075850.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0WSN2eoSc4sNrSLn0AkanbJlb0wuv8ehEBOCmPiX6wUwarngbGrtq777XAwHjpjn1bubDT_a2Vp005qUwzPHoC_uvaBXI4ph8D1H2UIvJYnCCIWJ1zHaJdTjX83rQUYqwK9D3cNyVrFQ/s640/WoWScrnShot_102012_075850.jpg" width="640" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><i style="font-size: medium;">My 9th and last Spirit Beast. I got the chance to queue up and experience the raid myself and it has been amazing. You will face three boss encounters, where the first one being <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/npc=61421" target="_blank">The Spirit Kings </a>with each king has their own unique abilities. Second up is the celestial dragon <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/npc=60410" target="_blank">Elegon</a> that packs a good long battle and you got the chance to turn into celestial model itself. The final encounter, you will face <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/npc=60400" target="_blank">Will of the Emperor</a>, a great battle against the king himself and get epic loots that everybody is hoping to get for their characters.<br /><h3>The Spirit Kings</h3><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">You will walk into a large empty hall, there is not a single trash mob or whatsover. Everybody just started walking around until they spotted a panda NPC. Talk to this guy, and hologram-like statues appears and a short dialogue will begin. In this encounter you will face 4 Spirit Kings which are Zian of the Endless Shadow, Meng the Demented, Qiang the Merciless and Subetai the Swift. You won't be fighting them all at once, instead you will battle them one by one randomly everytime the encounter begins.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgu6yQpGhiTjZk3R1pQAU35yTwPviSdeKMMjoIWOiF7kOnKf35CZNIgXdbzK8IdWnKasJsvLrg_m2xLYZhOFyHg6W_U_4tb7o9ihO-D5QOwNF08r_CITzLm-nJXj7Iaf1Rrem81rv_asAs/s1600/WoWScrnShot_101812_023345.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgu6yQpGhiTjZk3R1pQAU35yTwPviSdeKMMjoIWOiF7kOnKf35CZNIgXdbzK8IdWnKasJsvLrg_m2xLYZhOFyHg6W_U_4tb7o9ihO-D5QOwNF08r_CITzLm-nJXj7Iaf1Rrem81rv_asAs/s640/WoWScrnShot_101812_023345.jpg" width="640" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><i style="font-size: medium;">The Spirit Kings dynamic boss encounter</i></td></tr></tbody></table><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Since the unknown nature in which order the bosses will activate, you must always be prepared to deal with any combination of the boss' retained abilities. The fight involves a lot of movement, and proper positioning is an important requirement for success, throughout the course of the fight.</div><br /><h3>Elegon</h3><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">You proceed to a wide area with a circle platform when you notice a short scene before the celestial dragon Elegon appears right before you. Walking over the platform will turn your character into celestial too which I found it's amazingly great. After the encounter begins, there will be celestial adds that you have to DPS very quickly. If they reach the pillars, the whole raid will fall through the celestial platform into the pit below. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOCkDUNl8DM2_d4fEx1cAcHyPXyJ_xeRHgGKyM0yMBP2fS4njreQ6ZVXsCKeKIiNUbhs5hHW1KrhYzTJTXetXHY_ZV6YYfdb6XkLd9WMQD4Zu6eUz2beL6vmafhrvco_CmE45qWmbGE1Y/s1600/314066.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="412" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOCkDUNl8DM2_d4fEx1cAcHyPXyJ_xeRHgGKyM0yMBP2fS4njreQ6ZVXsCKeKIiNUbhs5hHW1KrhYzTJTXetXHY_ZV6YYfdb6XkLd9WMQD4Zu6eUz2beL6vmafhrvco_CmE45qWmbGE1Y/s640/314066.jpg" width="640" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><i style="font-size: medium;">Elegon the Celestial Dragon</i></td></tr></tbody></table><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div>This encounter wil have three Phases, which Phase one lasts until Elegon reaches 85%. During this phase, he has a frontal breath that requires him to be facing away from your raid. He will also summon a Celestial Protector every 35 seconds.</div><div><br /></div><div>Once Elegon reaches 85%, phase two begins. Elegon will cast <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/spell=119387" target="_blank">Draw Power</a>. This summons six Energy Charges. Each Energy Charge spawns on Elegon and moves in a different direction towards the edge of the Energy Vortex. If all of the Energy Charges are killed, Elegon will cast Draw Power again. Every time Elegon casts Draw Power, he gains a stacking debuff that increases his damage taken by 10% for the rest of the fight, and the Energy Charges gain a stacking buff that increases their movement speed by 20%. If any of the Energy Charges reaches the edge of the Energy Vortex, Phase Three begins.</div><div><br /></div><div><div>Once a single add reaches the edge of the Energy Vortex, six pillars will spawn at the locations the adds were moving to. These pillars create a barrier between them which kills any players that run through it, and the glass floor in the middle of the room disappears. Players must stand in the sections creates by the pillars and DPS them down to end the phase. A pillar will only die when the pillar it is connected to dies also.</div><div><br /></div><div>During this phase, Elegon will cast Energy Cascade at random players. This creates an avoidable patch on the ground. If players get hit, they take very high Arcane damage. A Cosmic Spark will spawn whenever this projectile hits the ground. The Cosmic Sparks move slowly, but hit extremely hard, and can two shot non-tanks. They should be grouped up at the North end of the room, picked up by tanks, and quickly AoEd down. Once all six pillars are down, Phase one restarts.</div></div><h3>Will of the Emperor</h3><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The final encounter of the raid, you will walk into the King's Chamber and spot two bosses <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/npc=60400/jan-xi" target="_blank">Jan-xi</a> and <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/npc=60399" target="_blank">Qin-xi</a> The Will of the Emperor encounter is a two-phase fight that needs to be activated by interacting with the control panel located next to the fighting area. After the activation, you have to wait for 25 seconds before the fight really starts.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br /></div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVej-eLk8MlaEgPEipSyr86u5FdfH4SxS42aaIqYhMLA9Wh-5vq3XR731nPyxxxk8ceEzo0Eu8G6oG9A_lfG1g7eanYLFveXel0tvvsPQtOoWaq128n2HGbdmJmW-_Cb-sStrR64M96LY/s1600/WoWScrnShot_101812_212353.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVej-eLk8MlaEgPEipSyr86u5FdfH4SxS42aaIqYhMLA9Wh-5vq3XR731nPyxxxk8ceEzo0Eu8G6oG9A_lfG1g7eanYLFveXel0tvvsPQtOoWaq128n2HGbdmJmW-_Cb-sStrR64M96LY/s640/WoWScrnShot_101812_212353.jpg" width="640" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><i style="font-size: medium;">Emperor Jan-xi and Qin-xi shares the same health pool</i></td></tr></tbody></table><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Phase One lasts for the first 90 seconds of the fight. During this time, your raid will have to handle three different types of adds.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Phase Two begins after 90 seconds, when the two bosses of the encounter, <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/npc=60400/jan-xi" target="_blank">Jan-xi</a> and <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/npc=60399" target="_blank">Qin-xi</a>, become active. The adds from Phase One will continue to spawn until the end of the fight. Jan-xi and Qin-xi have a shared health pool, and the fight ends with their death. The main difficulties are dealing with the adds, and successfully avoiding Jan-xi and Qin-xi's abilities, other than that it's a pretty straight forward fight nuking the two bosses.</div><br /><br /><br />Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12491575509254990647noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8523166498722937774.post-20433954606176035462012-10-18T00:36:00.000-07:002019-01-02T23:12:58.810-08:00Classes DPS Rankings, Where do Hunters stand in Patch 5.0Hunters DPS is still falling behind compared to other classes based on <a href="http://www.noxxic.com/wow/dps-rankings/realistic-dps" target="_blank">Noxxic DPS Rankings Chart</a> tested with item level 496 current best in slot gear. Beast Mastery is leading the pack for hunters in the DPS Rankings chart followed by Marksman and Survival. Warlcok, Mage and Death Knights are currently dominating the cart.
