Mist of Pandaria Launch

Mist of Pandaria has finally arrived, we have loads of things to do! A whole new continent of Pandaria to explore, new quests, leveling characters to level 90, participate in dungeons and raids, new PVP season, new battlegrounds, pet battles, challenge mode, scenarios, it's just too many to be listed down. With only 2.7 million sales on first week compared to 4 million sales during Cataclysm, it seems there's not much hype that has been put on this expansion, Mist of Pandaria does not promote much on the big bad guy like Illidan, Arthas and Deathwing, but instead showcases fluffy pandas and pet battles. It's kind of less enticing for majority of players at first impression. As for today, Mist of Pandaria subscribers has hit 10 million subs which proves that this expansion has great content and worth to get. I have tried it myself and can pretty assure you that it is really solid compared to the earlier ones.

New Dungeons:
Temple of the Jade Serpent

Stormstout Brewery

Mogu’shan Palace

Shado-Pan Monastery

Siege of Niuzao Temple

Gate of the Setting Sun

Scarlet Halls

Scarlet Monastery

Scholomance

New Battlegrounds:

First up, we have the Temple of Kotmogu, where the Alliance and the Horde clash over ancient artifacts that date back to the dawn of recorded history and it’s up to you to secure the secret power of the mogu for your faction. When you’re done bashing orc or human heads in Pandaria, head on down to the newly opened Silvershard Mines in Stranglethorn Vale and retrieve a resource that is much more mundane (but not one bit less important) than the enigmatic energies of the mogu: diamonds! Claim the mine for your side, and you’ll seize its glittering prizes.

This expansion two new battlegrounds Temple of Kotmogu and Silvershard Mines

New Raid:

Blizzard has announced that the first tier of raids in Mists of Pandaria will have a staggered release. A single raid will be released one week after the launch of the expansion, Mogu'shan Vaults, and the raid finder version of that raid won't be available for another week after that. Nothing will change regarding the release of heroic modes, which will be available for the following lockout after players complete the raid on normal mode.

Enter Mogu'shan Vaults, the first raid in Mist of Pandaria
Hunters are of course getting some sweet new abilities. Some of these are found in the form of talents, but others come in the form of new class or spec abilities. This includes the level 87 Stampede that lets us bring 5 of current active pets all at once to devour your enemies, Beast Cleave which lets BM pets cleave for their own little AoE after a Multi-shot, and others, as well as changes to existing abilities. See the New & Changed Hunter Abilities Roundup for a current list of all the new and changed stuff. Minimum range is going away in Mists of Pandaria, and this is good news for us! In MoP we will be able to shoot enemies in the face just as well as we can from five yards away. If you're a Blood Elf like me, you can get near your opponent after a Silence Shot and chain it with Arcane Torrent. Another change is that our melee weapon abilities will be going away, thus we will use range weapon and main weapon. I will discuss about the new hunter's rotation and hunter's PVP tips and tricks in Mist of Pandaria in the coming post.

Loads of new dungeons and the revival of old ones such as Scarlet Monastery and Scholomance
