Competing for Arcturis the Spirit Bear

I received a whisper from another hunter last night saying that he just tamed Arcturis at about 8:40 PM. I thanked him for that and set a quest to hunt for the biggest spirit beast ever exist. He has only one spawn point which means competition is going to be really high. Unlike other spirit beasts in Northrend, his respawn timer is between 10-12 hours.

I woke up early today at about 6:30 AM and started heading to Grizzly Hills. It is 10 hours after he was found (6:40 AM), yet there is still no sign of him. I was staying in Camouflage stealth while writing my previous post about Getting into Mogu'Shan Raid Finder. Another hour comes, there are a few alliance and horde were scouting the area bringing more competition on the table. I'm guessing, some of them might have the information about the previous spawn time too. After the 11th  hour, there's still no sign of the mighty spirit beast. We keep on waiting until the final hour strikes.

The clock hits 8:40 AM, after 12 hours of waiting and camping, an alliance hunter (I'm guessing he has info on the previous spawn) reached the area. I  fire a few shots and took him down a couple of times. He then, called another hunter from the alliance faction to help him out. I was staying in stealth. They were firing flares everywhere trying to detect me. I did a surprise attack, killed one of the hunter and then followed by theother hunter who was fairly weak. He was only level 87 and took me around 2-3 shots to finish him off. After killing them over and over again, the level 87 hunter gave up and left the area.

The alliance hunter seems to want Arcturis badly, he's still camping the spawn point on his mount. I was determined too, waiting in stealth on the ground. A few minutes later, an ally restoration druid reached the area and they were on the ground. I opened fire on the hunter, while setting focus on the druid and instantly trapped him followed by a Silencing Shot. I couldn't take the hunter down without all my cooldowns up. They finally managed to kill me, I respawned and prayed that Arcturis would not spawn yet.

My real life friend was camping Loque'nahak at that time where I called for help. He straight away took a flight to Grizzly Hills. The clock was 8:50 AM Arcturis still have not spawned. The hunter and druid are still camping the area, I reached the area in spirit form hesitating to press the 'Accept Ressurect' button. My friend was still far away, it felt like he's taking forever.

Out of a sudden, I saw a horde hunter just logged on (I'm guessing he has the info too), he was getting focused by the two alliance. I accepted my ressurection and blew everything I had including Stampede and managed to kill them off. The Horde hunter was down too, they were on their way back to ressurect. I saw the alliance druid respawn first and got into his flying mount and flew away. That when the time Arcturis had spawn and I instantly tamed him without thinking too much. Yes, and I finally got him! It was a very epic hunt indeed.
