Getting into Mogu'shan Vault Raid Finder

This is the second week after Mogu'shan Vault normal mode was released last week, which means the first 3 bosses in Raid Finder and Heroic Modes are already being opened for public. Next week, on October 16, the second half of the vault will appear in the Raid Finder. As for in now, only two guilds DREAM Paragon and Method from the EU has cleared all six bosses in Heroic Mode. Reports and sources are taken from Wowprogress.com, a site that keep tracks of raiding progression world wide. Other raid instance in this expansion Heart of Fear and Terrace of Endless Spring will be released in future patch releases of the expansion. Let's move on to raid finder for now which is going to be your first entry level of seeing the bosses before actually going into harder difficulty modes.

The bosses in Mogu'shan Vaults are enormous
I've decided to que up for raid finder last night just to see how does everything goes. You will need an average item level of 460 in order to que. The raid finder icon is taken away, so you have to click on Dungeon Finder (I for keyboard shortcut) and que from the Raid  tab.

The Stone Guard

Greeted by fellow raiders after joining the que, we started to pull trash mobs leading to the first boss The Stone Guard. They are basically three beast statues that will cast random AoE spell which is quite easy to heal  through. I believe there are four beast statues in normal and heroic modes. The Guardians have a shared health pool, and each Guardian has its own individual energy bar. The Guardians gain energy when they are close to other Guardians, and when a Guardian reaches maximum energy, it unleashes a very damaging, raid-wide attack. Each Guardian has its own version of this maximum-energy attack; these attacks are called Overloads. Fortunately, at any given time, one of the Guardians is also providing protection to the raid from its own maximum-energy attack, in the form of a 90% damage reduction from that attack.

These Quilen statues are alive
Therefore, the main objective of the encounter is to control the order in which the Guardian's energy bars fill up, by moving them close to, and away from other Guardians, depending on which Guardian is applying the debuff. A few seconds after a Guardian uses its maximum-energy attack, a new Guardian will start applying its debuff, and it is this Guardian that you must get to maximum energy. This cycle continues until you defeat the Guardians. We defeated this boss fairly easily, and you will no longer be able to roll for loots instead you will get random epics or Cache of Mogu Riches. The cache will only contain 28 gold. I know a lot of people are not quite happy with this change, to be honest I felt the same too. This change only applies in Raid Finder, as the standard loot system is still the same for normal and heroic modes.

Feng the Accursed

Next up, we encounter Feng the Accursed a giant statue looking boss. He's standing right in the middle of arena like platform. There are three phases that you need to go through which are when the boss hits 95%, 66% and 35% of HP. You won't be able to faceroll easily through this encounter as raid awareness from every raid member is very crucial. We happened to wipe a lot here, this is because the boss will randomly put Arcane Resonance to random raid member and they will explode damaging nearby friendlies. The tanks have to know when to get certain shields Shroud of Reversal and  Nullification Barrier. For example, in Phase One is dealing with  Epicenter the tank can either pick up Nullification Barrier to allow the raid absorb or Shroud of Reversal to reflect the lightning interrupting Epicenter ability. In Phase two, the boss will travel to the statue of the Spirit of the Spear, and imbue himself with the abilities of this spirit. The hardest part of this encounter will Phase Three when the boss hits 33% HP, he will cast massive AoE called Arcane Velocity where the farther you are from the boss, the more damage you will take. So you might want to stay spread out but close to the boss. This is to avoid Arcane Resonance being cast on your raid member to not wipe your raid. Just nuke him hard here to claim your loot.

Feng the Accursed gets really hard in Phase 3. His AoE does hurt.

Gara'jal the Spiritbinder

The next boss Gara'jal the Spiritbinder is not as hard Feng, the encounter is a single-phase fight that takes place in two different "realms". The boss, as well as your raid, is located in what we now call the Normal World. Several adds are located within the Spirit World, from where they continuously damage your raid., which will test your raid's ability to work together in a coordinated fashion. Basically, they were yelling to click the totem which pretty much what you will have to do. More than anything else, the fight will strain your DPS players, who must kill the boss before the rather short enrage timer.

When the boss reaches 20% health, he goes into a frenzy, dealing increased damage. More importantly, the raid damage will increase as well. Indeed, at this stage, players will no longer be able to enter the Spirit World to kill the adds. This constitutes a soft enrage mechanics that will eventually wipe the raid.

Everyone was yelling click the totems. Pretty simple fight.
