Hunter PVP Tricks and Playing Arena and RBG to the Next Level

If you want to improve your PVP gameplay in World of Warcraft, you have came to the right place. Here I'm going to explain some of the tricks that most players are unaware of and with this knowledge I hope you can be a better player and enjoy PVP to the next level.
Organizing your UI for PVP
First of all, you need to setup your game interface right. Screenshot above tells you how you can start organizing your UI to improve your gameplay in PVP. To get started, below are the list of addons that you can download.

1. IceHud - Show your health and focus bar in the middle of the screen
2. Dominos - Organize and keybind your abilities and actionbars
3. Recount - Keep track of your damage
4. Battleground Targets - Shows your enemy health and resources bars, buff and debuff and other important stuff like class specialization, etc
4. Gladius - Shows your enemy health and resources bars, buff and debuff and other important stuff like diminishing returns, trinkets, etc
5. GladiatorLOS - Alerts you when any enemy use their cooldown or special abilities

* If you have any questions about the addons or how to use them, simply put on the comment below or message me on Facebook / Twitter.

Ensure that you place all the UI elements / addons near the center of the screen because your eye will always focus on the middle area and it will be easier for you to reach for everything within a split second.

Insignia / Trinket

You can remove disarm effects with your Insignia.

Against Mage

They can't use Iceblock if you silence them, however it does not work on Paladins, they still can bubble.

Against Shaman

You can remove the grounding totem with growl (pet ability).
Here's an example macro:
#showtooltip scatter shot
/cast growl
/cast [target=focus, harm, exists] scatter shot; scatter shot

Against Deathknight

Silence won't let them use howling blast, sacrificing there ghoul or cast Icebound Fortitude.

Against Rogue

If they vanish near you, just place a flare right under yourself and do feign death followed by Camouflage.

Tranquilizing Shot

Tranquilizing Shot is our Purge and it's instant cast and doesn't require much focus. You can dispell almost everything with it. Dispell Buffs like BoK, BoM, Fort or special abilities like:

1. Hand of protection
2. Hand of Freedom
3. Spiritmend (BM Spiritpetsheal)
4. Spiritwalker's Grace (Shaman)
5. Bloodlust / Heroism (Shaman/Mage/Hunter)
6. Berserker Rage (Warrior)
7. Unholy Frenzy (Death Knights)

By removing opponent buffs it will create pressure depending on the situation in PVP

A tip on how do you look at enemy buff is that you will see them as glowing. If there's glowing stuff means you need to clear them off to create pressure or if you have spare global cooldown.

Silencing Shot

Insigna / Trinket will also remove silence effects but there is a little trick.
If you interrupt a spell with silencing shot (for example flash healing) he will gain a silence and also (!) a kick - means he cant use holy spells for 3seconds even if he uses his insignia.

Immolation Trap and Misdirect

Remove these skills from your action bars as you don't need it for PVP

Scare Beast

Fear another hunter's pet or feral druids.

Master's Call

It's like Blessing of Freedom for hunters that will remove your or ally from any movement impairing effects.

#showtooltip master's call
/cast [@target, help] master's call;
/cast [@<yourself>] master's call

Concussive shot

Your slow/snare is undispellable

Feign Death + Camouflage

Ever wonder how to vanish as a hunter? Pop feign death followed by Camouflage. Make sure you have Glyph of Camouflage.

Set focus

Always have a set focus macro for Scatter / Silencing / Tranquilizing shot so you don't have to click to switch target while nuking your current one.

Here's my macro for Scatter Shot.

#showtooltip Scatter Shot
/stopcasting
/stopcasting
/cancelaura Deterrence
/cast [nomod:alt] Scatter Shot
/cast [mod:alt,target=focus] Scatter Shot

Cross Crowd Control

If you're doing 3v3, always crowd control two targets at the same time (hunter usually trap healer), coordinate with your partner for the crowd control.

Watch Your Focus

You will need to watch your focus via IceHUD interface, if you have below 40% focus don't spam your instant skill instead cast Cobra Shot to gain focus.

Talents, Glyphs and Rotations

I have written another post about PVP patch 5.0 for hunters which you can read here.

Pet Selection

I have also written a post about pet selection for Stampede here.

* This guide is written in Patch 5.0 and will be updated on this or other posts in the future.
