New Hunting Challenges in Mist of Pandaria (Savage)

We can only see the new Spirit Beast in Mist of Pandaria coming in patch 5.1 according to some official sources. For those who are seeking thrill of the hunt in this expansion, can start off by hunting this beautiful white tiger named Savage.

Blizzard has implemented a new hunting mechanics in Mist of Pandaria
He's a level 85 elite tameable beast and it's believe to be on 2-8 hours cooldown spawn timer. The way Blizzard make it really interesting now is by placing trail of tracks like the picture shown below. The only thing that is not done right is that the trail that you see actually shows the opposite direction of where Savage is currently going. For example, if you see the trail paws facing towards north, he is actually moving towards south direction. Hope that Blizzard can fix this issue to avoid confusion to other fellow hunters. The tracks are hard to see unless you go to your Graphic Settings and set the Ground Clutter to low.

You got to track his footprints.
To have a general idea, where his spawn point is, I have included a map below taken from Wowhead.com. You have to search for his tracks on the dotted area on the map as he will wander either south or north. I believe he won't despawn as he is not included in the Spirit Beast category, so if someone had tamed or killed him, he will spawn again in 2-8 hours later, otherwise he will keep wandering around the map. Another interesting thing is that his tracks and Savage himself can only be seen by hunters only so you don't have to worry about the classes trying to interfere with you tame.

Savage will move in stealth along those path, you have to use your Flair
Savage currently drops nothing so there's actually no real reason kill him, The most important thing to take note that Savage is always stealth, yes that's right, the only way to find him is to use your Flare ability. Whenever you've notice that the trail ahead is not connecting to the path where it's supposed to be, he might just be there walking in stealth. This is the right time to use your Flair. Savage provides 3000 mastery buff similar to buff given Spirit Beasts, the only difference is he is not able to heal you with Spirit Mend. I've included a screenshot of my tame below, good luck and happy hunting!

He is one beautiful white tiger
