Portent is a rare pet similar to
other hunting challenges in Mist of Pandaria that roams at Valley of Eternal Blossoms. They have four different colours red, purple, green and dark to collect from, but I do not have enough stable slots to collect them all, at least for now. The respawn timer for this creature is very short which is 2 hours and only one random colour will appear once at a time. Due to the realm merges, Blizzard has made respawn timer for rare creatures much faster.

Portent comes in four unique colours and roams in Valley of Eternal Blossoms |
I spotted the Dusty Tracks near the Mogu'shan Palace to the most east side of the map while flying around Valley of Eternal Blossoms. I decided to follow the trails until Ruins of Guo'Lai that I noticed new tracks started to animate and slowly appearing. Shot a few flares and finally managed to reveal the dark coloured Portent. It must have been my lucky day cause I think the dark one is my favourite. Put a hunter's mark on him and started taming. I have marked it on the map below on how you can easily follow the routing path of this exotic beast.

Follow his trails and keep on the look out for Dusty Tracks |
A Quilen provides 5% critical strikes increase like Devilsaurs, Water Striders and Hydras. The only special ability that is unique from all other pet categories in World of Warcraft is Quilen can cast resurrection in battle which means it might be handy to put him as one of your primary pets in any case you need to resurrect a team mate in a raids or dungeons.
